Gregory Family Portraits // Chatham, Va
It all begins with an idea.
April 2025
I have known the Gregory family for many years now. Although the connection began over 10 years ago when I was in highschool working for the other relatives of the Gregory’s working at in the office of the lumber company. I met Stone back then and then years later, through social media, met his wife, Dee and their children and grandchildren. This was my second time photographing this sweet family. They are always a pleasure to work with. This session was in the spring and I’m so glad we had nice weather (although it was a little warm). We met at the family farm and it was a lovely evening to take photos.
Family photos don’t have to be painful or boring as some might automatically assume. They can be fun, simple and meaningful. I can’t reiterate how important updated family photos are. None of our lives are guaranteed. Our health isn’t either. And also, grandchildren grow quickly. It’s important to capture those relationships…mother-son, the men in the family, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, etc.
I truly enjoying photographing families. Coming from a big family myself, I see the meaning of having photos taken together. It’s hard to get everyone together, isn’t it? But…it’s worth it.
Thank you, Gregory family, for letting me take your family portraits.
And to my readers, enjoy a few favorites from their session down below!
Aren’t they beautiful?!
The sweetest. I want a love like this! I’m a big fan of black and white portraits.
